RAO II Expeditions is a rugged, versatile knife with a folding solid Blade designed for all kinds of field use and extremely heavy work. The reliable Bolt Lock blade locking system, aided by an additional bolt-on (from the right side) steel safety pin (Extra Safety Lock), effectively turns the folder into a fixed blade knife.

Expedition series is a range of tools designed for professionals involved in exploration. The knives in this series offer the same performance, reliability and high quality as all the tactical tools that Extrema Ratio supplies to special forces and law enforcement agencies.

N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Blade - extremely sharp, solid 6 mm thick false blade with Drop Point shape with clearly marked blade belly, which provides excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. It's made of good sharpness retention, durable, high-cobalt N690 stainless steel with a hardness of 58 HRC made at the Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria. The blade was finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed finish and then coated with a matte dark coating. The smooth Plain blade was derived with a Flat grind. On the back of the blade, a long notched thumb ramp (spine jimping) facilitates efficient knife handling.

The Blade's dual locking system: a solid Bolt-Lock mechanism and an additional safety feature, a steel threaded bolt that must be inserted and screwed through two holes located in the Handle. Opening and closing the blade should be done with both hands to minimize the risk of self-injury, since the blade, due to its weight, is a real guillotine. Blade with an offset center of gravity also allows you to open the knife with a decisive flick of the wrist.

Handle - full-size, as in combat knives. Grips made of anodized aluminum to guarantee a firm grip with wet hands as well as in a glove. Full stainless steel liners. In the back of the grip lanyard hole, a hole with a pulled elastic cord with a steel pin attached. Sheath - multifunctional sheath made of abrasion-resistant, waterproof nylon in sand color. Fastened with a DuraFlex type buckle. The holster allows you to carry a folded folder and with an open blade like a knife with a fixed blade on your belt or on your armor / vest using the straps of the M.O.L.L.E. system. Additional pocket for carrying a diamond sharpener and a loop for a flint.
