This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
Dirac Delta D/E Tan Aluminum, Black is an enlarged OTF automatic knife from the Dirac series. It operates in D/A mode and is equipped with a hellishly fast blade ejection mechanism. The slider button is on the side of the handle. 100% made and assembled in the USA. Designed by Anthony Marfione, knifemaker and owner of Microtech Knives.
Dirac® Delta - an enlarged version of the first OTF Double Action automatic from Microtech with a slider in the handle. Modernized, ergonomic handle with curved lines similar to HALO®. This line features Microtechs® signature ultra high-end solutions such as patented screws, innovative inner mechanism and glass breaker. With a total length of 7.25 inches, the Dirac® is a perfect EDC (everyday carry) knife.
M390 Microclean® - martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape, keeping the blade sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) and an admixture of 1.9% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - machine-ground Dagger D/E (Double Edge), sharpened on both sides. Finished with an eye-catching Two Tone tactical coating, the bevels are coated in black, the rest of the blade is satin-finished. The blade has a high flat grind, which ensures excellent cutting properties. This gives the knife excellent piercing properties while maintaining high durability. The blade is additionally reinforced by a centered grain. A strong blade extension / retraction mechanism with a knurled thumb slide requires a certain amount of force to overcome the resistance of the spring for safety reasons. The opening method ensures that it can be opened without problems by both right- and left-handed people.
Handle - made with high precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from anodized aluminum 6061-T6. The surface texture of the handle ensures that the knife does not slip in the hand during use. There are jimping on the top and bottom of the handle for a secure grip. The slider is characterized by its location in a milled depression on the side of the handle. This allows the hand to rest more naturally when opening and closing the knife. The slim profile and milled two-position (right/left) solid deep carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket in a tip-down position (with the tip of the blade facing down). The clip features the Microtech logo, serial number and date of manufacture. The handle ends in a window-breaking mallet, a solid steel triangle with a pressed-in tungsten carbide ball.
