The asymmetrical, skeletonized Handle provides lightness while maintaining rigidity, and the Cerakote coating improves corrosion and scratch resistance. M2 is a molybdenum high speed steel (HSS) with a well-balanced chemical composition for high hardness, abrasive wear resistance and so-called “red hardness” (the ability to maintain hardness at elevated temperatures). Typical chemical composition includes: carbon (C) 0.78-0.88%, chromium (Cr) 3.75-4.5%, molybdenum (Mo) 4.5-5.5%, tungsten (W) 5.5-6.75% and vanadium (V) 1.75-2.20%. It is widely used for the manufacture of cutting tools such as drills, taps, mills, broaches, saws and industrial knives, as well as for cold working punches and stamps. M2 offers improved economy and properties in many applications compared to traditional T1 high-speed steel.
Cerakote™ - a ceramic-based finish that can be applied to metals to improve a range of physical properties, including abrasion/wear and corrosion resistance . Thin-film non-reflective, low-friction matte protective coating resistant to heat, chemicals and impact. Provides durability and hardness.
Blade - made of M2 steel hardened to 54-56 HRC offers exceptional abrasion resistance and long-lasting sharpness retention. Wharncliffe profile guarantees precision and control, especially for tasks requiring accuracy. A blade thickness of 6.1 mm combined with a working length of 33 mm results in high toughness despite its compact size. MIM technology ensures material uniformity and strength while maintaining low weight. Cerakote finish protects against damage and eliminates light reflections. Full tang construction increases the rigidity and resistance of the entire tool.
Handle - made of the same M2 steel with MIM technology , as the Blade, guaranteeing structural integrity and strength. Asymmetrical, skeletonized body with notches improves grip and minimizes weight (45 g). Finger ring allows dynamic maneuvering of the knife in an inverted position and increases control in emergency situations. Cerakote coating provides corrosion resistance and reflection masking. A cord hole provides an option for security or personalization.
