AISI 420 (American Iron and Steel Institute) rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, a martensitic stainless steel that offers high hardenability (in the 54-56 HRC range) and strength and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools and knife blades.
Blade – a wide Drop Point blade, finished with an anti-reflective Black Coating that enhances durability and protects against corrosion. The plain cutting edge delivers exceptional cutting performance with full force, while power transferred to the tip ensures excellent point strength.
