The helmet prevents the prisoner's head from self-injury, having been fitted with a incapacitating belt, straitjacket or handcuffs for hands held behind the back.
At the same time, the design of the helmet protects transporters from attacks from the transported person in particular: biting, head banging and spitting, which is protected against by a Velcro-fastened cover Velcro™, to which a special net is attached to prevent the prisoner from spitting on the escort.
